Twin Buttes Railroad Company minute book and accompanying documents, 1903-1924.

The autograph manuscript and typescript minute book for the Twin Buttes Railroad Company dates from its organization in 1904 to its dissolution in 1924, and includes names of officers, stockholders, negotiations with the Southern Pacific Railroad Company to borrow materials to build the railroad, and resolutions to sell a portion of the railroad to the Tucson & Nogales Railroad Company. Accompanying the minute book is a mining deed from John G. Baxter et al. to the Twin Buttes Mining & Smelting Co., dated Sept. 18, 1903; a promissory note signed by officers of the Twin Buttes Railroad Company for money owed to the Southern Pacific Railroad Company, dated March 1914; a printed pamphlet, "Bankholder's Agreement for Deposit of First Mortgage Bonds issued by the Twin Buttes Mining & Smelting company...dated March 14, 1914"; and a blueprint map of the Twin Buttes Railway, drawn in 1905.
